It crosses about seven cuts before reaching the main bed of
Montosa Arroyo. From there it rises 840 feet in 0.7 miles.
The upper reaches require scrambling on loose rock, but
without dangerous exposure. You can avoid this difficult
approach by aiming for the shoulder.
